My client is a well-established, Australian-owned engineering consultancy known for delivering sustainable, innovative building projects across the country. With a strong national presence and a commitment to design excellence, they have carved out a niche in architecturally complex and environmentally conscious work. Due to continued growth in their Melbourne team, they are now seeking a Senior Structural Engineer.
THE ROLE
- Lead structural design and documentation of projects involving concrete, steel, PT etc.
- Deliver innovative solutions that balance design intent, engineering rigor, and compliance;
- Work collaboratively with architects, builders, and consultants to bring timber projects to life;
- Manage smaller project teams including junior engineers and drafters;
- Contribute to fee proposals, technical reports, and construction-phase support;
- Ensure timely, quality delivery across multiple structural packages;
- Drive compliance with building codes, WHS, and QA standards.
- MUST HAVE PERMANENT WORK RIGHTS IN AUSTRALIA
- MUST HAVE LOCAL CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
- CPEng/NER status preferred (or on track);
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience with building structures in the Australian market;
- Software: ETABS, SpaceGass, RAM, RAPT;
- Highly collaborative with solid stakeholder and client engagement experience;
- Detail-driven, curious, and passionate about sustainable design.
