This is not just a Senior Interior Designer role — it’s a Senior Design Team Leader position at the heart of the business.
You will take ownership of the entire client design journey , leading projects from concept through to delivery while ensuring a seamless and professional experience at every stage.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the client journey through Consilo’s design process
- Booking and leading client meetings, maintaining strong relationships throughout
- Overseeing design timelines and ensuring the team delivers on time and to a high standard
- Leading and mentoring the design team while remaining hands-on with design tools and delivery
- Producing and reviewing detailed documentation and interior detailing
- Coordinating closely with sales, estimating, and project management teams to ensure alignment across all stages
- Supporting site teams with design queries as projects move into delivery
- Driving quality, efficiency, and consistency across all projects
ABOUT YOU
You’re a natural leader who enjoys both design and delivery , with the ability to manage people, projects, and clients confidently.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior interior design or design leadership role
- Strong background in commercial design, ideally healthcare
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and keep projects on track
- Confidence in being hands-on with design tools (Revit, SketchUp preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
- A natural flair for design (this will be assessed through a practical design exercise)
- Relevant degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Full working rights in Australia
- Full-time, studio-based role (with some flexibility)
- 5 days per week
- Standard 38-hour work week
- Salary: $150K – $175K + super
