Mechanical Engineer

With decades of experience delivering complex, sustainable, and commercially successful projects, this consultancy has built long-term relationships with developers, government agencies, construction firms, and multinational clients across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, mixed-use, infrastructure, and transport.

Their Adelaide team continues to grow, and they’re now looking for a Mechanical Engineer who’s ready to contribute to a diverse portfolio of local and national projects.

THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play an active role in the design, delivery, and coordination of high-quality building services projects. You'll work closely with experienced directors and team leaders while contributing to the success of a collaborative, design-driven team.
You will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting senior team members in design and project delivery.
• Producing sketch designs and performing design calculations.
• Ensuring compliance with design criteria, client briefs, and relevant standards.
• Reviewing documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Attending and participating in design coordination meetings.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows.
• Working across projects in the commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• 2-10 years' experience in building services design within a consultancy environment.
• Hands-on design experience across ACMV, Fire, and Hydraulic systems.
• Experience in healthcare or large-scale development projects (highly regarded).
• Familiarity with international and Australian standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Experience with relevant engineering design software.
