Graduate Interior Designer

We’ve partnered with a Brisbane-based Design & Construction firm delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects in the Education, Healthcare, and Hospitality sectors. With a strong portfolio of work for prestigious private schools and national healthcare providers, they are rapidly growing and evolving their structure to bring design in-house.
 
As part of this exciting new direction, they’re on the hunt for an ambitious Graduate Interior Designer with 0-1 years' experience—someone with creative flair, technical ability, and the drive to grow into a future team leader.
 
THE ROLE
 
This is a rare opportunity for an emerging interior designer to step into a career-defining position. You’ll be the first in-house designer, working closely with the Head of Pre-Construction and taking full ownership of the design process across a range of dynamic projects. From concept to completion, you'll be hands-on and client-facing, designing entire spaces and developing comprehensive interior packages across multiple sectors.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Leading design on projects from early concept through to completion
• Attending site measures and client meetings as part of the pre-construction team
• Producing 3D renders, detailed plans, elevations, mood boards, and FFE specifications
• Designing with a practical understanding of lighting, mechanical, data, flow, and compliance

• Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Interior Design)
• 0-1 years' industry experience, ideally in commercial fit-out or refurbishment
• Strong AutoCAD skills and a high level of proficiency in 3D rendering
• Passionate about interiors and design with a sharp, creative eye
• Good understanding of integrated fitout design (lighting, services, flow, etc.)
• Confident communicator and client presenter
• Portfolio and mood board examples will be essential to showcase your design ability

• Salary between $62–70k + Super, depending on experience
