Vivid Recruitment is working with a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Melbourne that is looking to appoint an Associate-level Structural Engineer.
This business has built its reputation on delivering practical, buildable design solutions across residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. They work closely with developers, builders and architects, with a strong focus on long-term client relationships and repeat work.
With a solid pipeline and continued growth, they are now looking for someone who can step into a senior leadership role within the team and help drive both project delivery and client engagement.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the following:
- Leading structural design delivery across multiple projects from concept through to construction
- Managing project workflow, resourcing and delivery in conjunction with the directors
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing strong relationships
- Overseeing and reviewing engineering design, ensuring technical quality and efficiency
- Providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and drafters
- Attending and leading client and stakeholder meetings
- Assisting with fee proposals, tender submissions and broader business development
- Supporting the growth of the business through client engagement and repeat work
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
You will have the following skills:
- 7+ years’ experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment
- Strong experience delivering projects across residential, commercial or mixed-use sectors
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and stakeholders
- Experience contributing to business development and winning work
- Strong technical capability across structural analysis and design
- Experience with software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, RAM Concept or similar
- Permanent work rights in Australia
This opportunity is a good one because:
- $140,000 – $180,000 + super, depending on experience
