Associate Architect - Education

This firm has partnered (retained and exclusive) with Vivid Recruitment to secure the services of an Associate Architect specialising in education.

About the Role
An engaging and versatile individual is sought to contribute to a variety of public and independent school projects. Supported by a collaborative national team, strong project leadership skills and prior experience in school projects will be essential for success.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the day-to-day management of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with design philosophy, standards, and project plans.
• Managing client and consultant relationships, including contracts, invoicing, and communications.
• Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and quality management documentation.
• Overseeing high-quality documentation, designs, presentations, and renders across all stages.
• Identifying and resolving issues affecting quality, timelines, or budget.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior team members to foster a positive studio culture, encourage collaboration, and support professional development.

About You
This role is ideal for an experienced project team leader with a collaborative and forward-thinking mindset.

The firm is eager to welcome a candidate with:

• A proven track record in the successful delivery of public schools, independent schools, or similar projects.
• Established project management skills and well-developed team leadership abilities.
• The capacity to manage client and consultant relationships effectively.
• Advanced skills in Revit
• Exemplary design communication skills to convey concepts through imagery and diagrams.
• Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with the requirements of the BCA/NCC and other relevant standards and consultant reports.
• Architectural qualifications at a post-graduate level (or equivalent).
